Elisabeth S. S. Greenwood
Raised in rural Virginia, Elisabeth Greenwood spent her early days climbing trees, creating obstacle courses for herself, and orienteering the acres of undeveloped forests in her backyard. Her love of the outdoors took on new forms when she moved to Richmond in elementary school, where she got involved in a medley of group sports and athletic competition. The passion she developed for endurance events would serve her well on the track and cross-country course at Trinity Episcopal School. From there she would go on to run for Sewanee, the University of the South, before transferring to her current program of study at VCU’s School of the Arts. The transition between schools allowed her time to train on her own and eventually compete in a local triathlon. One sprint triathlon later, Elisabeth was hooked and had earned a spot in the Age-Group Nationals Olympic Distance Triathlon that coming year. Elisabeth’s passion for sharing her love of endurance sports and being outside continues to grow as she crews and races each of Go-To-Eleven Racing’s events.
